LTF2003 Day 2 (Sunday May 4th 2003)
The weather on Sunday was much better, though the big blue tow truck was still used a number of times, particularly earlier in the day.
Luckily the field had dried out sufficiently for the evening road-run around the Great Orme Summit to go ahead. The participants enjoyed a well-earned rest and hot-dog at the 'Rest And Be Thankful' cafe half-way round the Marine Drive.
One of the undoubted stars of the show was the 1928 Llandudno UDC Dennis charabanc owned by Southampton University. One of four such vehicles present this year (three of which were former Llandudno UDC vehicles), the students drove the bus all the way from and back to Southampton at a maximum speed of 30 mph! They had previously visited the Transport Festival 3 years ago.
