LTF2003 Day 3 (Monday May 5th 2003)
Overnight rain meant that the tow-trucks were back out in force on Monday morning. Attendance (both exhibitors and visitors) appeared to be rather lower than Sunday, though the main gate was apparently still quite busy with visitors arriving.
The weather during the day was not actually too bad and luckily the field had dried out fairly well by mid-afternoon. Thankfully this meant we only had to jet-wash people's wheels for half the day!
After spending the morning scraping the wet, 'splashy' mud off the road surface, we decided to head off up the hill which overlooks the field and get some panoramic shots. By this time (about 4pm) many people were leaving or had already left, so the field looks a bit sparse!
Two AVIs of the field from the top of the hill are available.
Another highlight amongst the exhibits was Wynns Heavy Haulage with a 6-axle trailer - the gateway was specially measured beforehand to make sure the trailer would fit! Unfortunately the video of the ensemble leaving has no sound...
